My mother's credit card was retained by the atm machine on Sunday. The bank security guy advised her not to cancel it but to rather return on Monday to fetch it as the bank had retained it. On 16 Dec 2016 I received an sms from FNB that my FNB card has just been used at Yes Car Hire in Brazil. Immediately I contacted FNB Fraud line and asked: How is this possible – both myself and my card are in Centurion – not Brazil! Standardbank double debited my cheque account and after calling the 1st time i was advised that the money will be refunded back into my cheque account, this was on the 24-11-2016, i called again on the 25-11-2016, and i was advised that only one payment went through and another pending, this is a concern when there are consultants assisting but have different stories. Good day . I have a credit card with ABSA bank. Month end no deduction was made for the credit card, when I called to enquire I was told that the wrong pay date was captured . My worries is how do they keep on getting my information wrong while I bank with the bank and now these has affected my credit scoring due to that I cannot apply for anything as I kept been declined because of ABSA workers failing to do their job. I will like my name to be cleared ASAP no apology letter as always.
