Consultant kept me on the line for over 30 minutes, logged my claim with a reference number only to be told that I was not covered for this specific claim. I lodged claims with Nedbank 3 weeks ago and a contractor came out to assess the damages no feedback received from Nedbank, I called them today 25 Jul 17 and was told that the claim has been rejected for this reason- The wall is also not built according to regulations as it is a 110mm wall without clearly defined pillars. I had an accident on the 29th of June my car was then towed from the scene by one of the miway guys and was told they are taking it to their storage nearby for the assessor to assess it!! Reported burst geyser and damage to ceilings on 23 June 2017. Geyser repaired same day. Damaged cupboards take away to be fixed on 7 July, still waiting for my new cupboards to be refitted. Made numerous calls to absa insurance call center, to date no feedback or update despite promises to do so!!!! At my wits end - I dont know who to escalate this to - also contacted Private bank but no response!! Considering opening a police case for theft!!!!

The registered bond for my house is R650k. Standard Bank is charging me R617 per month for the structure valued +R330m. I have shopped around and got a cover for both the structure worth R2m for R457. Std bank is insisting that I be kept insured with them unless I cover my house structure for R330m. I have lodged claims with ABSA 2 months ago and 4 months ago and not heard anything from them. The building claim, the assessor told me before he even looked at the damages, that ABSA would not pay out and that I would be wasting my time even asking why or contacting the ombudsman I have not heard from ABSA with regards to the claims, nor have I had any feedback. I had a breakdown in February and called Genric on the same day. They organised for the towing of the vehicle to the repairer. Hollard Insurance (Retirement Department)is the most pathetic service i have ever received in my life. They are busy debiting or hold the RA of clients without communicating with the clients that they are no longer selling or promoting the product and what will happen to the client they have RA with them.
