SASSA Complaints - Bad service

I went to SASSA offices in Centane and the service there is horribly bad. I went there 4 times to apply for a child support grant, 1st time they told me to bring my ID and the child's birth certificate, 2nd time they told me to bring letter from school, upon questioning the wording of the letter they require they gave me a form that I should take to school. 3rd time I brought the documents and they told me to bring the child, I went to school to request the child to be absent from sxhool and they couldnt help us again, I noticed that it takes an hour to assist one person until they told us that they dont assist people after 3:30pm. I spoke to manager Mrs Naphakade who advised that there is nothing she can do because she is short staff. I should be there as early 8am when they open their offices, she never cared how much distance am I travelling to get there. Meaning that if I cant be there when they open their offices then I wont be assisted. I overheared people on the queue saying that they are sleeping over on the floor using cardboards as matrasses in order to get the assistance from SASSA Centane. Some of them are going there 5 to 7 times before they can get the assistance they need. My worst frustration is keep a child away from school so many days. Please help

Attitude : Agree Send Mail

I experienced the same at the SASSA in East London and I don't want my child to miss school because of their incompetence.
