Mango Airline Cape Town Aiport Complaints - bad treatment and service

The above subject matter bears reference.

On Monday 26th March 2018, myself and Mr Coltrane Letswalo wanted to
check in to a Mango Flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg.
Upon arrival at the airport, at the check in counter as we were about to
check in our luggage one the mango staff told us that we are drunk. We
could not understand where was that statement come from and as a result
we took offense and felt insulted .
We were booked on JE716 from Cape Town to Lanseria airport on
26/03/2018.
I checked in on the check in machine, and Mr Letswalo was checked in at
the counter by her.
When we wanted to drop our bags, she told us YOU BLACK PEOPLE ARE DRUNK
AND I AM DOING YOU A FAVOR BECAUSE ACCORDING TO MANGO I AM NOT SUPPOSED
TO CHECK IM DRUNK BLACK PEOPLE.

An argument ensued because of her racist statement and she and Oyama(
supervisor at help desk) called the police for Mr Letswalo and upon
talking to them they realized he was not drunk but the checkin counter
offloaded him off the flight.

Mr Letswalo was checked in and was offloaded because of an irrational
decision of being being subjective and irrational by Oyama. She told him
she hates black people from Gauteng and she always always deals with
them. Mr Letswalo was left destitute , embarrassed , and stranded
without a flight and accommodation and had to book a British Aiways
flight for R2800,00.

After having being abruptly removed , rediculed, insultelled and
embarrassed from the scinary infront of people, we were told Mango will
NEVER re- imburse us nor book us into the next flight because we are
drunk people and it would be a favor if we ever fly Mango again.
Our question is that’s how Mango airline treat their black customers
and who add value in their revenue and that’s how mango employees from
cape town are trained to treat black customers based on the utterances
we experienced

We would like to receive feedback from Mango airline within 24hour of
the receipt of this email failing which we will have to client
sastisfation this legal action against Mango. Mr Letswalo was left stranded, inconvenienced and destitute. Ms Oyama's decision was biast, subjective and not neutral. she was one sided and she did not want to listen to the side of my story. this was really embarrassing

regards

Mr Coltrane Letswalo
