UNISA, as a distance education institution, is a complete disgrace! I have sent numerous emails and sms's to the contact details reflected on the web, but have recieved no reply thus far! The only thing that I receive is an automated reply sent on behalf of Professor L Molamu, the University Registrar which reflects my case number. Obviously UNISA representatives do not realise how imperative studies are for professionals who are part-time students and whose career is directly influenced...

Student number :31476007. I was registered for PGCE in 2011/2012. I did 5 modules in 2011 and in 2012 did the other 5 modules including Teaching Practice module which required teaching practice period of 10 weeks to be conducted at a school and 7 assignments to be submitted.I duly did all this and passed all 7 subjects. At the end of 2012, I enquired when I would receive my PGCE certificate and was told to do another language module to get my certificate.I did this language module in 2013.At...

To whom it may concern I have written several times and have proof of the correspondence I have sent to UNISA including the Ombudsman, but I have not received a resolution as to why incorrect SUPP results show on my academic transcript on the my UNISA site. I have never written as SUPP at UNISA-yet these exams that were deferred are showing up as SUPPS on my transcript. This is not a true reflection of my academic performance at the institution and it puts me in a negative light when...

I wrote an exam during last October/November and only received half the results of my modules back. It has been almost a year later and i am still waiting. I have sent out numerous emails to UNISA and has received no feedback despite my continuous inquiries. This is placing a hold on completing my studies. Furthermore, they refuse to give me a copy of my transcripts of the modules that I "apparently" failed. I had to re-register and pay again to redo the module, why can't I have my...

UNISA needs to reconsider opening a call centre. I have never experienced such a fustrating registration process in my life. This is really bad. They need to do something about their registration process.

I have tried numerous times to get a hold of someone from UNISA to help me with my academic record. No replies to emails, sms's and phone calls. I went and stood in long queues at the UNISA offices for hours before walking away tired and frustrated.

WAITING FOREVER TO GET FEEDBACK ON MY PROPOSAL IS UNACCEPTABLE, AND THAT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AFRICA. THEIR CORRESPONDENCE IS ABSOLUTELY INEFFECTIVE AND WE AS STUDENTS ARE NOT STUDYING FOR FREE. WE DON'T HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO STUDY, IT'S NOT FAIR THAT THEY TAKE ON TOO MUCH TO HANDLE AND THEN WE MUST SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES. I REALLY HAD VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS FROM A WORLD RENOWNED ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS. I FEEL SO DISPONDENT AND NOW AM TAKING MY STUDIES ELSEWHERE, AS...

The Postgraduate Diploma that I am in the middle of studying has completely changed format. I just want to know is I can continue on the old format or if I must register for the new format in 2012. I have sent 3 emails since the 16/11/2011 and have tried to phone the Economics and Management Sciences department to no avail? This has potential financial and time implications for me and I am not getting any assistance what so ever. Bring back the Call Centre please!!!!
