Totalsports in canal walk Complaints - Falsely accused of theft

I am Michael Mkwedi with ID no. 7601075267086. I have been a client with totalsports until early this year when I decided to close the totalsports account.

On Friday 2019/07/26 at about 11h00, I visited the totalsports store at canal walk mall, century city. I then went to the fitting room to try on a pair of shorts and a tight. There was no one at the fitting room to assist me. Subsequent to that I took the items back to where I got them and left the store. As I went past the security guard, he approached me and told me that I have been accused of shoplifting by totalsports salesman. I hurriedly went back to enquire of the accusation and they were rude to me except for one black guy who assisted me earlier on. The Salesman who accused me demanded that I should get searched. He was rude throughout the entire process. The security searched me and they found nothing later on the security officers enquired with the control room for further assistance. The control room confirmed that there was no corroborative evidence showing that I had committed crime and therefore my rights should not be infringed further.
I have been a forensic investigating officer for the last 14 years and as the person who possesses both the BA in criminology and LLB Degree. I feel that my reputation has been prejudiced and I cannot continue to be a client of totalsports. The incompetence and the rudeness of the staff cannot be tolerated. I further wish to state that the lawsuit against the company will follow hereafter.

No one had a right to embarrass me or damage my reputation on that level. I am not a thief, never was and never will be.

From a disgruntled client
