First National Bank Complaints - Not received confirmation of settlement

After numerous attempts to obtain a settlement amount on my personal loan, I was offered a compromise settlement amount. This was paid the day they confirmed the amount. Two weeks and many emails later, still not confirmation that the account has been closed. I called them today only to find out that the compromise settlement was never communicated with the correct department, and I therefore still owe them money! Absolutely unacceptable. I just want my settlement letter, and proof the account is closed. I want nothing further to do with FNB.
