Samsung ran a Promotion with majorstores from 21 October to 31 December 2016. Buy any of their listed appliances and get a weekend hotel holiday or a return flight to any local destination.I visited Makro Springfield on 04/12/16. After a lengthy assurance from Makro Springfield sales person Ms Shireen Gianchand i purchased the washing machine for R4000 worth of promo voucher. I asked a lot of questions and was satisfied that okay i will have no problem.
With my purchaseI got a brochure with all steps and TCs.
My SOn is scheduled to return to CApe Town 24/01/2017. So we contacted Samsung contact centre on 09/12/16 so to cover the 4 weeks prior notification.
Email sent 09/12/16 returned with response will be in contact within 10 business days. It took 15 businessd days. From 11th day we called daily ...calls cut off -- phones not answered - operator cant hear.
30/12/16 email reply is they need a tax invoice(not staed on brochure)
04/01/17 Tax invoice emailed.
Called 05/06/07 - 09/01/17 got the booking pin but must wait 10 days to redeem and get a Comair voucher.
Then on follow up another consultant tells us we must wait 20 days before we get the voucher from them to use at comair.
To date we have no voucher? Makro contacted Samsung - the person in charge is on leave returning Monday 16/01/17 a week before my Son's flight to Cape Town.
One would think such a big company would have processes in place. I have no use for a flight after schools reopened and I am very annoyed because their brochure stated nothing that the consultants said.
I am demanding my money back from Makro I am sure with consumer regulations I am entitled to a refund because then the Promo was not done in good faith.
