intellicell Complaints - selling broken phone

I purchased a Sony Experia XA1 from Intellicell. The brand new phone only worked until April. Thereafter I contacted the company to report the broken phone.

The sent a courier to fetch phone on 24 April 2019 and brought back the same broken phone three weeks later, stating that nothing as wrong with the phone.

Despite me contacting them after on numerous occasions to report that the phone is still not working and refuses to charge, also the screen had been blank, they still insisted that there wasnothing wrong with the device.

Eventually after numerous phone calls to the company, they sent a courier to fetch the device, for the second time. After handing over the device to the courier company, another courier company showed up a few days later to fetch the same device. What incompetence!

I again called IntelliCell and enquired the status of my device and when they will be replacing. An extremely rude agent responded by saying its not up to her to change the phone and cut the call on me.

I then called again and spoke to Andiswa who tried to assist. I told her that should I not get a working device I would like to cancel my contract with them.

She said if I wish to do so then I will still be liable for a cancellation fee which practically costs the same as the device. She also advised that if I want a new device I will have to pay again.

So at this moment I am paying for a device I don’t have, which is sitting with this useless company. Beware as they seem to be very fraudulent selling faulty devices and trapping consumers to pay for devices they can no longer use.
