Ooba and Hollard Complaints - Worst Bond Originator and worst Insurance company

We were forced to use Ooba as bond originators when we bought our house thirty months ago. From the word GO we were ill-treated by Sue Dinny and her likes. Even the CEO from Ooba were not really interested in listening to our concerns. Registration EVENTUALLY!! happened!
A few months after that my husband was retrenched. After a call to Ooba, they informed that his contractor status disqualified him from the benefit that we were PAYING for every month. My argument is: they did not bother to find out about his workstatus when they sold the policy to us, they were too eager to get the money! They sent us ABSOLUTELY NO policy documentation, except the form that we had to sign, which stated NOTHING about this limitation. We forced ooba and Hollard to pay us back all the premiums! Then last year, after a destructive storm, we had to submit a structural claim. After two and a half months of US following up with Ooba's unworthy sub, Hollard, we were treated like trash by Dave, the obnoxious assessor from Hollard, Hollard themselves, and when I approached Liz at ooba for help, I was promised feedback, but I got NOTHING that could be considered service, just lame excuses on why Hollard could not pay!!!!! The point here is: Ooba did not do their homework properly to get all the details before insuring a person for retrenchment, and then they discriminated against my husband - this, by the way, was highly illegal. The law states that it may not happen. Secondly, the roof in question was exactly the same as the day we bought it, but THAT fact was not consired. According to the clueless assessor, it was MAINTENANCE that needed to be done by us, but it was more than evidenct that the roof was cracked and even broken on the corner by the weight of the stormwater. What a crock!!! Anything NOT to pay! Instead I got a lousy tidbit payout from Hollard which did not even cover a third of the expenses to fix everything that was wrong. Once again, our loss! To all clients and prospective clients at Ooba and Hollard: PLease reconsider your options if you are their clients before you might really need professional assistance, and to all prospective clients: do NOT let your estate agent force you into business with Ooba, as their sub-agents are absolutely lousy and unprofessional!!!

Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Finding the time and actual effort
to produce a really good article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and don't
seem to get nearly anything done.
